PRESENTATION

In 2070, a young girl attempts to re-process the archived file of her grandfather’s suspicious death that has happened 50 years earlier. To proceed with the new complaint, the girl has reconsidered the witnesses, documents, footages, films and the other materials that have been gathered obsessively by her mother in the past. Mother who has done too much result-less effort in her youth to convince the House of Justice to investigate her father’s suspicious death, is now in a coma in the age of over 70. The young girl, in need of her mother’s assistance to review the documentations and preparing the final complaint, communicates with her through a “mind-reader” micro machine, product of the future technology, which can be installed in the ears enabling people to contact mentally even in a coma.

The girl uncovers to her mother that she has come up with new findings about the real story of the grandfather’s death, but because of the lack of justifiable evidence to prove them, she had to create new records to be shown in the court, which means that she has remade the videos of the past in a way to confirm the narrative of new findings. She claims that she can hear the grandfather’s voice and the new film is based on his own narration of his death. Accordingly, the actual so-called distorted film is the most real one.

Although she is determined to file the lawsuit, her mother challenges addressing the constructed representation of the story of the murder even when it is genuinely true.
